The new dates for the UGC NET Exam Date 2024 exam have been announced. The exam will now start from August 21 and will continue till September 4. Earlier, the exam held on 18 June 2024 was canceled due to the possibility of malpractice as UGC NET suspected the exam to be leaked.
UGC NET Exam Date 2024 New Date
The National Testing Agency (NDA) has issued a public notice on Friday informing about the new dates of the exam. The information about the city in which the student’s exam center will be located will be given through the NDA website 10 days before the exam i.e. by 11 August.
The exam was held on 18 June in pen and paper board, which also led to controversy and now it will be conducted in Computer Based Test i.e. CBT mode.
UGC NET Exam Date 2024 Subject Wise
This time in UGC NET exam, exams for 83 subjects will be conducted only through CBT.
This exam is conducted for the appointment of Assistant Professor in University College and Junior Research Fellowship. Admission for PhD course in universities and higher education institutes of the country is now given on the basis of UGC NET score. This exam will be conducted for 83 subjects.
UGC NET Exam Date 2024 Timing
The subject wise schedule of NDA exam has been released on the website and information has been given about which subject’s exam will be held when. The UGC NET exam to be held from 21st August will be held only in CBT board. The exam which was cancelled on 18th June was held in paper but now NDA has returned to CBT mode again. Exams will be held in two shifts. The shifts will be from 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm.

On August 21, in the first shift, there will be exams for English, Japanese language, performing arts, dance, drama, theatre, electronic science and on the same day in the second shift, there will be exams for Dogri language, Spanish, Russian, Persian and other subjects. Similarly, exams for different subjects will be held on August 22, 23, 26, 28, 29, 30.
